Image quality can vary based on the color of the slate you select. High: African Blaze, Buff, Coppers Mine, Ebony, Rustica Moderate: Black, Everglade Average: Burgundy, Grassy Green, Misty Gray, Mountain Purple, Ocean Green, Plum, Silver Sands, Smoky Mountain, True Red Fair: California Gold, Dusty Way, Indian Multi, Jardine de Rosa, Mesa Rose, Mojave Blush, New Delhi Red, Royal Red, Tumbled Slates, Western Skies Low: Golden, Horizons, Indian Copper This is a guide only - variations will occur within each stone. Slates with different layers of color that have a high contrast of color from layer to layer work best. These would include Buff, African Blaze and Coppers Mine. Penetrating sealers or impregnators made specifically for natural stone are recommended, however, some sealers and top coats can reduce or completely eliminate the visual contrast on the New Dimensions items. |

All New
Dimensions by PetraSlate decos and liner bars are made to order. Delivery
is 2 weeks for standard catalog patterns. Allow additional time for
custom designs. All items are cut nominally to allow for grout lines, so a 12" x 12" tile will actually be approximately 11-3/4" x 11-3/4", depending on the country of origin. Thickness will vary and can range from 1/4" up to 3/4" depending on color and size. Slate will vary in color, texture and thickness from piece to piece. Gauged slates are ground on the back to make them flatter for easier installation. Gauging does not mean the thickness will be identical from piece to piece. The slight imperfections of slate are what our customers like about PetraSlate. They give our products dramatic beauty and individuality. Natural characteristics of stone are not considered defects in the material or workmanship but are the features that make each piece unique. PetraSlate can have a wide range of natural variations, no two pieces are ever exactly the same. Variances can be extreme within each stone. Make sure you are aware of the color variations within a particular slate before ordering, we cannot hand select for specific color tones. Chipped corners and some breakage, 5% to 7%, is considered normal in every crate and PetraSlate will not replace any pieces that fall within that average. These pieces can be used for cuts and other installation variations. It is recommended you order 5% to 10% extra to allow for variations, cuts and breakage. |
