us. Please view selected commentaries below. Complete names have been
omitted to protect their privacy; however, many of these customers have
graciously offered to accept phone calls or emails form prospective
customers wanting first hand references. If you would like to speak to

We are not perfect, but our goal is nothing short of providing you with
first-class customer service. The character of a company is
measured by how they deal with a problem. We have a company-wide
ideology that puts emphasis on an empathetic solution*
before the cost of the solution. I can assure you that you will not find a more dedicated
helpful staff with only one goal in mind - providing you with the

*What is
an empathetic solution? Simply stated, it is a solution that takes
into consideration our customer first. We try to look at things as if a
problem were to happen to each of us. How would we want to be treated?
What kind of solution would make things right in our eyes?
This brings to mind a
non-empathetic solution that occurred recently when I took my parents to
Dinner at an expensive well know national Steakhouse for my fathers
86th birthday. Three of the four of us ordered filet mignon. All were
grossly overcooked. Our server managed to ignore us for quite some time
even though the restaurant was not busy. Finally, the manager stopped by
to ask how we were enjoying our meals. We indicated that all three of
the steaks were overcooked. I also mentioned that we were celebrating my
fathers 86th birthday. One fillet was only about 3/4" thick and just
about charred. Can you guess what he offered? His exact words were:
"Would it make you happy if I took 50% off the costs of the steaks?"
Clearly, there was no empathy! What did he expect us to say? My response
was "Do what you feel is appropriate." In the end, they did change their
minds and credited the steaks. In my opinion, if they had empathy, they
would have realized that they had ruined the meal on a very
special occasion and placed undue stress on me by "asking" if it would
be ok to credit 1/2 half the cost of the steaks.
In stark contrast, last year
we had the same birthday dinner at Seasons' 52 in Altamonte Springs, FL.
We had made arrangements to pay in advance, bringing in a credit card
and signing paper work that they required. The meal was wonderful, but
at the end, the waiter presented a bill. We had explained that we had
made prior arrangements. The manager came to our table and apologized
and indicated that they must have lost the paperwork. He they said he
would pay for the entire meal. We insisted that was not necessary and
pleaded for him to give us our bill. He refused and said "Happy
Birthday" to my dad. They paid for a $300 meal over something that
merely would have required an apology or maybe a free desert. Their over
generosity has brought us back over and over again.
In my humble opinion, there
is a real lack of empathetic customer service these days. When we find
it, it is so refreshing!

for a product that was not even purchased from them. An
email was received from a customer indicating she had
purchased a faucet from another on-line company.
Interestingly, she sent the email to Luxury Home
products because she thought she was emailing the
manufacturer. In the email, she indicated she had
contacted the company where she purchased the faucet
because a part had broken. She said they initially told
her they would take care of it, but then did not. She
also indicated they were now not returning her phone
calls. She did not indicate the brand of the faucet in
her email. One salesperson from Luxury Home Product.com,
took the time to write to her and told her she would do
what she could to help - knowing she had not purchased
from Luxury Home Products, and having no idea what brand
of faucet she had. As it turned out, Luxury Home
Products.com did carry the brand of faucet. The
salesperson arranged for the part to go out immediately,
and with no charge for the part or the shipping. After
the customer received the replacement, she finally
realized what had really happened and that she hadnt
been dealing with the manufacturer, she was especially
appreciative.

Becky, Here is the new sink and kitchen, I love it so much more! You
need to push that corner drain kiddo... it is WAY better!

6-2-08 Becky--We got the sink late last week and it is
absolutely beautiful! OUR HOUSE IN THE MOUNTAINS IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION
SO WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SEE IT INSTALLED FOR ANOTHER COUPLE OF

soapstone counters for our kitchen and placed the sink in its

2007 Good Day, This message is for Dino about your
employee, P.J. My wife, Patty Champagne, recently bought one of your
fine products, a nice sink with LEDs for that special effect which
she seems to appreciate very much. (For a man, a sink is a sink).
Patty had a hard time finding the “right” faucets and trimming to
coordinate the bathroom counter ensemble. P.J. helped her out
immensely in locating these items. In addition, I believe P.J. went
out of her way to help me find the appropriate sink pipe drain

this e-mail to get to Becky, she did a lot of work checking on a
slate tile called silver sands. She was wonderful and followed
up. I am having a hard time getting in contact with her to tell
her the status of the inquiry. (I get home to late to call) I

This note to you is long overdue. We
purchased a copper sink with your help, almost a year ago. It was
and is as beautiful as we had hoped it would be. My husband
and I just love it and so does everyone who sees it! We wanted

have had the sink installed with a new oil rubbed bronze Hansgrohe

very hard to do). I have had total heartache with Herbeau but my
luck changed with the fact that Becky Alderman took my issues under her
wing and made them her personal goal to sort out and fix. Please
understand that this took months of work. Becky never lost sight
or determination to make me happy and get me the sink I had in mind. I
wanted you to hear first hand about the dedicated employee she is. I
presume you know, but the world is lacking "pats on the back" and I hope
this brings about one. She went far beyond the call of duty and right to

Firstly, I must
tell you how very impressed I am with your staff, your mission and
products, and of course, your service. I have been "shopping" for
decades by catalogue, in stores, online and around the world, so I
have a tremendous storeroom of knowledge and experience. I
am not often impressed. The very best store and supplier I know of
is LL Bean and your company
now roosts prestigiously alongside their lofty rating in my book!
I'm sure the

finish is incredible, however, the shipping back process
sounds daunting and I don't have the flexibility of time now. When I
order another copper sink for the downstairs bathroom (when I finish
the basement), I will request it then. (It is possible that your
staff mentioned the finish to me at the time of purchase, and I've
forgotten.)

my sink? I want to know you were involved in some way with my
gorgeous sink.

Dear Becky,
Thank you for your speedy and thorough reply. Seeing the
configuration at the link you sent (I don't know how I
missed that photo at your web site) along with your
explanations helped me to understand the various components
and grasp that it is pretty much a mix and match idea in
terms of shower design (as opposed to either -or).
You make wonderful points regarding the drains, hot water
capacity, pressure vs. thermo valves, etc. There are things
I NEVER would have thought of and this new insight will be
very beneficial when I meet the GC and plumber to determine
a plan for the shower fixtures. Of course I will give your
company and products first consideration when planning gets
underway.

inquiry. Please specify the part number for the Blanco sink that you
have, so that I can match the grid strainer...

I have a ELUH2816 10" deep
P.J.'s Reply: The
sink part number you have given us is for an Elkay brand sink. We do
not sell Elkay products and the Blanco Grids will not fit in the Elkay
sink. If we can be of further assistance to you...
Had this been an online order, it would have been a disappointment
to the customer. It would have to be returned. Worse yet, the box
may have been thrown away when opening it causing it to not be
returnable. All of this was prevented by having one of our
professional staff members asking questions! The above situation is
why most of our items are not available to order online. We want to
talk to you and make sure your purchase is exactly what you want and
that it will work for your situation. (You should know that
Blanco only has ONE "Single D Bowl" and one grid to fit it, but P.J.
didn't take the easy path. She anticipated the potential for an
error, asked the additional question, and was correct! She
saved this person a significant amount of time and aggravation. This
happens at least once or twice every day at L.H.P.! We go the
extra mile so you won't have to.)

information. It is a real treat to find that such service still

Recently, I experienced my first
visit to your website and purchased a brand new kitchen sink. The
sink was sent out immediately; however, when the sink arrived, it was
broken during shipping. I immediately called your company and spoke
with a lady named PJ. PJ was a true professional on the phone. She
listened to my concerns and immediately sent another sink to my
residence. But, when the sink arrived for the second time, it was
broken during shipping as well. I immediately called PJ thinking I
should cancel my purchase altogether. PJ mentioned she had just
purchased a new sink; however, the sink was a different brand and
model. She immediately emailed me the link for the new sink and we
(wife) loved it. My point, PJ could have cancelled the purchase,

I purchased a 'Classic 1' bathroom faucet
in 2000. This was from Fancy Faucets, Lake Forest.
The porcelain top of the drain stopper
came off. I cannot screw it back on. Called Fancy Faucets, last

told they'd call me back. I want to know what can be done to
correct my problem faucet?

We just unpacked My sink and I'm absolutely thrilled.

customize the Blanco configuration with the Apron front solved a big

We did not review the merchandise in the presence of the shippers and I

I'm a little less apprehensive to order these fixtures "long
distance". However, I know that some of these items are
pretty heavy, so I'm hoping that shipping charges don't throw the
pricing up too much.
