| Each sink is delivered with a Certificate of Authenticity, Guarantee and Stone Legend, enveloped in handmade paper tied with turquoise beads. | ||
| Please
note: Sinks are individually custom made and take approximately 10 weeks
to make. All dimensions are approximate due to the hand made nature of
the basins. All basins are enveloped in a non-detectable "aero
Space proven" protective coating which will not chip, crack, peel
or turn yellow. It also prevents adherence of any type of build-up and
is food safe, potable water and medical safe.
We are very excited to offer such a rare and unusual product to our International audience. Each basin is made of one of a kind natural gem stones. The manufacturer has been a major international supplier of semi-precious rough stone to the jewelry trade for over twenty years. One solid piece of gemstone large enough to sculpt an entire vessel is very rare and would cost tens of thousands of dollars. Therefore, the imported gemstone is pulverized into ultra-fine particles, cleaned and purified. Using a process that has taken two decades to perfect, the gemstone is combined with other natural ores and pigments under extreme pressure. Acrylic gem resins bind the gemstone particles re-creating the hardness and structural integrity of the original. Finally, American artisans, using diamond impregnated lapidary tools, sculpt, shape and hand polish each gemstone vessel, creating a truly unique work of gemstone art. |

Amber is a
fossilized plant resin, not tree sap. This resin can drip from and ooze
down trees, as well as fill internal fissures, trapping debris such as
seeds, leaves, feathers and insects. The resin becomes buried and
fossilized through a natural polymerization of the original organic
compounds. Real amber does have a plastic look. If you can imagine
hardened tree sap on the side of a tree, this is what it
"looks" like. This is "natures plastic." Click
here to see closeup photos we took of an amber sink. |
