This
ensemble brings back the warmth and charm of yesterday, with the
convenience and functionality of today. This piece is made exclusively for Luxury Home
Products by Copper Creek of the finest quarter sawn white oak. Sold only
as a complete unit, the set includes the Royale wall mount faucet and
grid drain, from Herbeau Creations in Weathered Brass, along with the
Salem china vessel lavatory bowl from the Le Bijou Collection in
Biscuit. We recently learned that a couple of generations ago red oak
was used exclusively for firewood and white oak was used for furniture.
Quarter sawn white oak is the oak of choice for fine furniture
building, you will find there are virtually no antique furniture pieces
make of red oak.
Fine furniture from Copper Creek features full extension hidden under mounted glides that open like they are sliding on air. They have a self closing feature which closes the drawer automatically when it reaches 2 inches from the cabinet. No more partially open drawers! The only drawer that is not operational is the small top center drawer. The middle drawer just below it, is a partial depth working drawer. This cabinet is designed to be free standing. Just use clothes washer fittings to connect the faucet. The cabinet will stand about an inch from the wall, allowing the mirror to tilt upward to accommodate a tall person. The finish on the cabinetry is a hand rubbed catalytic varnish by Sherwin Williams. It will withstand all kinds of nasty things such as nail polish remover, water and mild acids. |
